Tweet: Reading and re-reading may not be effective learning methods in an exam retrieval point of view. But are we ignoring the Giant?

Reading and re-reading are less effective learning methods compared to other powerful learning methods as proven by many studies. 

But this can send the wrong connotation that reading is overall a bad idea for learning. 

This kind of conceptual mis-attribution could result in lack of emphasis on reading either by omission( omitting reading as an academic practice or instruction Eg. SSR ) or commission( focusing on memorizing or problem solving without cultivating the fundamental  language skills through reading).
